Top 7 Chrome Extensions to Transform Your Work Experience

Spread the love
Thanks to the emergence of Web-based tools and services, most of us work primarily in the browser these days.
HomeGoogle Chrome is far way the most popular browser around and it supports a huge number of extensions, which are essentially plugins that add functionality to your browser. There are a ton of them that can help you get more work done in short order, while consuming less system resources than standalone apps and integrating more tightly into your workflow. One of the most prominent characteristics of the browser Google Chrome is liberty to customise. Beyond being capable of installing themes and add-ons that add several features to the browser, we can also take a complete makeover in the look of the new tab page – the one that appears whenever we open a new tab in the program.

1. Earth View from Google Earth

Earth View is one of my favourite extensions. I usually give this extension the top-priority because whenever we open a new tab, this add-on displays a beautiful image photographed by satellite. The photo shown is chosen randomly: there are urban landscapes, canyons, beaches and even volcanoes. We can also know the image which is showing up by simply clicking on the small globe that is located just on the lower right.

2. Currently

Currently

If one loves simple and minimalist theme, then this one is made for him/her. Surprisingly, it is simple and clean and more minimalist. Currently displays the time, current temperature and weather forecast for the city. The detail is that it does so in a very attractive manner. We can easily customise the colours and set our location manually.

3. Jot for preparing short to-do lists

Jot is at once a simple and beautiful replacement for our new tab page. It displays a lovely new background image every time we open a tab, and lets us list our most important to-dos or short notes for the day in a large, legible font. To retrieve them, all we need to do is launch a fresh tab.
If we don’t need all the bells and whistles of advanced task management extensions, Jot is a great choice that looks better than the rest.

4. MightyText

MightyText brings our Android smartphone and computer closer together, allowing us to sync our SMS messages and notifications from our phone to our desktop. Users can send and receive SMS and MMS messages from their desktop, sync photos and videos and receive low battery notifications for their smartphone. Users will need to install the MightyText app on their phone, as well as on Chrome.

5.Google Dictionary

This extension from Google makes it just a little easier to brush up on our vocabulary. Once installed, one can double click on any word in a web page to see a short pop-up definition. Clicking the extension button brings up a full dictionary entry, and one can also opt into saving a list of every definition he/she looks up.

6. Pic2Pixlr

Pic2Pixlr is a must-have extension for anyone who edits a lot of web images. Once installed, right-clicking on an image will reveal an “open with pic2pixlr” option in the context menu, letting one jump directly into Pixlr’s suite of free editing tools. It’s a lot faster than downloading, uploading and downloading again.

7. Speed Dial 2

Speed dial 2 is an ultimate replacement of new tab page with quick access to our most visited pages, bookmarks and browsing history. We can easily organise our favourite websites into boost productivity.

I do not know whether it’s just me or if everybody else experiencing issues with your website.

It seems like some of the written text within your content are running off the screen. Can someone else please comment and
let me know if this is happening to them too? This may be a issue
with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Many thanks
