Essential by Andy Rubin : Full Specs, Price, Release Dates.

The Co-Founder of Android, also known as ‘The father of Android’ Andy Rubin launched his own smartphone on Tuesday, 30th May,2017 under his own startup with the name “Essential”. Essential’s brand new flagship phone is Essential Phone (Model Number PH-1).

Specifications 

Processor :- Essential is powered by 2.45 Ghz Octacore Qualcom snapdragon 835 processor with Adereno 540 GPU.

RAM :- 4 GB

Internal Storage :- The phone comes with 128 GB internal storage but without any expandable external storage.

Display :- The Essential phone comes with a 5.7-inch LTPS display. It comes with an unusual 19:10 aspect ratio instead of the regular 16:9 and a 2560 x 1312 pixel resolution which is sort of border-line Quad-HD.

Camera :- The Essential phone features dual camera system consisting of two 13 MP rear cameras wherein the one is standard RGB and other one is monochrome.

In addition, the phone comes with Laser and Phase Detection Auto-Focus, a dual LED flash and support for 4K video recording. Onthe front side, it comes with a 8 megapixel camera which is capable of recording 4K videos.
Connectivity :- It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type -C for charging and data syncing. The phone is not coming with the 3.5 mm audio jack.

Other Special Features 

Essential has edge to edge near bezel less screen like Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and LG G6. It is having a magnetic connector on the rear side and it supports different modules via this magnetic connector like dongel,, a 360 camera and other accessories which will remind you of Lenovo Moto Z.

It is coming with a very durable titanium and ceramic body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. The combination of material is ensuring the phone would be hard to crack/ break under large stress. The phone is not water resistant.

Release Dates and Price

The phone is already gone up for the pre-order in the US. The phone will cost around $699 and it is going on sale in late june in US.However it seemingly only applies to the US, yet no news to be launch in other countries.
