Lineage OS full Review (Oneplus 3)

Spread the love
Lineage OS or CyanogenMod, one of the best known open source projects that actually realized the dream of customizing, technically took its last breath on 30th December 2016. But they built something that’s totally irresistible(atleast for me)! I hope that you all are getting what it’s all about, a new OS from CyanogenMod is on its way, named “Lineage OS”. There are many different builds available for different devices. You can have the list of the devices that can port the “Lineage OS” from their official site.

Here, I have Oneplus 3 for testing, we flash the “Lineage OS” on our device. The first thing that I noticed was the boot screen or the boot animation. It felt as if  I’m using a low budget phone. The screen just flashed “ANDROID” and the cool and classy “Cyanogen” logo was’t there.  Now except the boot animation, rest of the stuff is same as it used to be.

Welcome Page after setting up your device

When you are done with setting up your device, you will see a welcome screen like the one shown above. Click on start and you are good to go. After this, you will see the main window or the main “Home Screen” like the one shown below.

The other changes that they have introduced is the “Trebuchet Launcher” and “Trebuchet File Explorer”. It is like they are bringing back the older features that “Cyanogen” used to offer.. This time they have blended the “Old” cyanogen features with the new ones. You will notice only a few changes if you are already using the “cyanogen 14.1 builds”.

Stay tuned for more updates on “Lineage OS”.
